I’ve been writing professionally for over 20 years. My path has veered through newsrooms, ad agencies, tech companies, and many other places.
I cut my teeth as a journalist, then spent years as a copywriter and creative director before accidentally discovering the world of digital product design—specifically, how language influences user experiences.
Right now I’m running Just Copy, a company I founded that provides subscription UX writing and content design. Across my experiences at different tech companies, I kept noticing a common theme: Product teams really need help with the content inside their apps but the standard ways of engaging writers usually lead to big bills or big gaps—or both. Just Copy offers a new approach.

SimplePractice
As the first content designer and UX writer at SimplePractice, a SaaS company supporting health and wellness practitioners, I built a team and established systems for consistent, inclusive content across a product ecosystem.
Samsung
In partnership with Instrument, a digital agency in Portland, Oregon, I wrote copy for web and mobile landing pages for Samsung’s latest innovations in home appliances. I also created emails and advertisements to drive to these pages.

I wrote blog posts for barre3, a global fitness brand with home offices in Portland, Oregon. In collaboration with barre3's internal marketing communications team, I also wrote copy for promotional posters and advertisements.
A.Team
I was the first UX writer at A.Team, working with product managers and product designers on flows for builders and the companies that hire them.
Comcast
I was the first UX writer on the team that launched Comcast's mobile network, Xfinity Mobile. Alongside UX designers, product owners, and developers, I helped build a new mobile experience that gives users greater control and flexibility.
Charles Schwab
As a creative director for AHA, a branding agency in Vancouver, Washington, I oversaw the development of digital and print content for Charles Schwab. I directed a video series highlighting the lives of registered investment advisors.
Legility
In collaboration with Legility's internal team and law firm clients, I wrote white papers and case studies on topics including flexible legal talent, second requests, and data privacy. I also wrote articles on legal challenges of Covid-19.
Wevr
I wrote copy for a new website for Wevr, an interactive technology company, and its new cloud platform, Wevr Virtual Studio.
JPMorgan Chase
In partnership with AHA, a branding agency in Vancouver, Washington, I worked on content strategy and edited articles for Chase's Business Resource Center, its content hub for small business owners across the country.
PAE
I’ve collaborated with PAE, a sustainability-focused engineering-design firm, on everything from website redesigns and blog posts to brochures and books. Their lighting subsidiary, Luma, brought me on to write the copy for its new website.
Maimonides
I wrote the internal magazine for Maimonides Cancer Center, in Brooklyn, New York, for several years. Interviewing physicians, nurses, hospital administrators, and patients, I crafted articles and worked with designers to finalize issues.
